**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**



1. Follow all safety, GMP rules and company policy

2. Work from daily master schedules, formula sheets, written and verbal instructions to perform duties.

3. Help with set-ups and product change-overs

4. Monitor instruments, (gauges, tension, speed controls,) to maintain proper settings.

5. Operate powered forklift to transport materials.

6. Load pallets of raw materials on elevator and lift to mezzanine for extruder hoppers.

7. Operate hoist to supply Spreadline with materials and remove finished product.

8. Operate wind-up making tension, pressure and other adjustments as necessary to obtain a quality product

9. Use lift when loading cores into wind-up

10. Use banding machine to wrap raw material bags for disposal.

11. Report all maintenance problems to the supervisor and maintenance.

12. Understand and comply with special instructions for certain adhesives.

13. Perform maintenance cleaning procedures

14. Must learn the Spreadline Assistant's position to relieve the operator and assistant for breaks.

15. Assume responsibility for keeping the work area neat, clean and orderly.

16. Understand how to handle hazardous material such as oil, grease, rags, etc. and how to dispose of them properly

17. Work as a team with other members of the department to accomplish all job requirements.

18. Perform other tasks as required and directed by management.






**QUALIFICAITONS:**



1. High School Diploma or GED

2. Previous manufacturing experience preferred

4. Must be able to perform all duties in a safe and effective manner









**PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF JOB:**



1. Operator must be able to monitor spread line/windup machine gauges to ensure proper mechanics.

2. Operator must be able to remove rolls from Kan-ban area and move to unwind area utilizing fork truck.

3. Operator must be able to utilize hoist to place rolls in unwind area.

4. Operator must be able to remove plastic off rolls and prep rolls for splicing utilizing tape.

5. Operator must be able to maneuver adhesive drums on pallet and prep for removal.

6. Operator must be able to push reverse roll coater into and remove die machine from coder station.

7. Operator must be able to place drum cores on and remove foil cores from windup machine.

8. Operator must be able to break shipping racks down and stack rails and rack ends on pallets.

9. Operator must be able to pull broken web out of oven and rethread spread line.

10. Operator must be able to complete machine changeovers, clean coater and perform basic cleaning duties.

**Sitting:** (Occasional) Operator must be able to sit to perform various duties associated with essential job functions such as performing paperwork and monitoring machines.






**Lifting:** (Frequent) Operator must be able to **lift up to 50 pounds from floor to shoulder level of 60 inches** to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as palletizing rack rails and ends. (Occasional) Operator must be able to **lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level of 36 inches** to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as lifting cores and rolls.






**Carrying:** (Occasional) Operator must be able to complete front or side carries of various parts weighing up to **50 pounds for distances up to 50 feet.**






**Pushing/Pulling:** (Occasional) Operator must be able to generate **push force and pull force of** **<= 50** **pounds** to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as pushing/pulling adhesive drums and coater/die machines.






**Forward Bending:** (Occasional) Operator must be able to attain/maintain a forward flexed position of up to 60 degrees to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as moving cores and performing cleaning duties.






**Trunk Rotation:** (Frequent) Operator must be able to rotate their trunk/torso left-right in a standing position to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as removing rolls, prepping rolls for splicing, maneuvering adhesive drums, pushing/pulling coder and die machines, removing cores from machine, breaking down racks, removing/rethreading spread line, performing changeovers and performing cleaning duties.






**Reaching:** (Frequent) Operator must be able to forward reach to a shoulder level of up to 72 inches to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as removing product from machine and packaging product.






**Manipulating/Handling/Gripping:** (Frequent) Operator must be able to complete gripping, pinching and manipulation of various pieces of equipment to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as removing rolls, prepping rolls for splicing, maneuvering adhesive drums, pushing/pulling coder and die machines, removing cores from machine, breaking down racks, removing/rethreading spread line, performing changeovers and performing cleaning duties. A **grip force of** **<=** **50** **pounds** is necessary for the completion of tasks.






**Climbing:** (Occasional) Operator must be able to ascend/descend steps and /or equipment varying from 7 - 12 inches in step heights to complete various duties associated with essential job functions such as accessing machine.
